I made this / Cat Games - Less lag, more 'thats bad'
[vitenkas.morat.net]
/ MORAT / freespace / Catnews / Editorial
There's nothing to see here except for shadows of the past - and these ones won't be returning.

I'd point you to my next project here - but I'm not that organised. My style is to act and then sort out the consequences, rather than the other way around. Oh, and lying. I do that a lot too. (i.e. if you look closely, you may have seen some links appearing roughly once a week)

Vitenka.com is registered to me for the forseeable future, so you might find something there.

Time for some classic goodness. It's...

Vitenka's Catnews Antique Links! Part One!

We've currently got sixty four pages of archives - at five updates a page, that's almost a years worth of updating (assuming I stuck to one update a day, which I don't)

So, I thought I'd go through and pick out some of the classic links - for the children to enjoy and reminisce about when they grow up.

If they grow up.

If this doesn't kill them.

  • Ah, world politics was a little different back then: Denmark refuses to join the single european currency. Germany 'well gutted'
  • Religion was much of a muchness: God Speaks! Says depressingly little. [Details]
  • bbs.morat.net died. No one noticed. bbs.morat.net repaired. No one cares. [Details]
  • Whacky comiccy goodness. Hellcat's hell kitty, and some radiskull kicking it with devil doll [Details] [Details]
  • You can buy a ZX81! [Details]
  • Morat 2 died mysteriously. It will come back soon, or blood will flood the streets. (Actual consequences may differ from those illustrated)
  • Because everyone else is ranting about it - M$ doens't pay tax. But DUH we knew that - it's a large corporation. Does the government of england pay tax? NO! Then why should the WORLD government? [Details]
  • WickedGl really does almost double your framerate [Details]
  • Oh wow. The bench, benchcraft. How could I forget about it so easily? [Details]
  • Have they STILL not released this? [Details]
  • TF2 (icq skins) released! [Details]
  • Wow - how far in advance can I be so right? MMORGs are coming out of the woodwork. This one sounds more tedious than average. [Details]
  • Red alert 2 reviewed by person who likes attack dogs. Results wildly unpredictable [Details]
  • D2 expansion reviewed mostly by those who wrote it. They say it's terrible [Details]
  • Notice the release of the linux for ps2 outside japan recently? They promised it long ago - page 56: PS2 to be in the mould of an 80s home computer [Details]
  • Milkshape, that hard to use shareware model-editor, lives here [Details]
  • Not so long ago you didn't even have the companies to rant at. now they disconnect you instead: Unmetered access for all! [Details]
  • Daikatana's patched. Hahahahahaha. They patched it. They're supporting it. Hahahahahaha. I don't know what they fixed, but I doubt it was the gameplay. [Details]
  • Even back on page 52 I was having doubts: History as written by valve. Only goes up to 2173 though so no TF2 [Details]
  • And it STILL hasn't come out for the PC. And my emulators never work right. FINALLY a bastard bastard american playstation owner stops playing the game long enough to breifly review it. Needless to say, it's good. [Details]
  • Because (in my dreams) people keep searching for it - my no lag config - nolag.cfg [Details]
  • In late breaking news - TF2 was not released today. For this someone shall pay. In blood.
  • VNC. Virtual network computing. Lets you control your computer from anywhere. You need it. [Details]
  • One thing you need to understand - fps games need low latency, but very little bandwidth - and for the forseeable future, LPBs and HPWs will have to tolerate each other. [Details]
  • Hatten ar Din doesn't mean "I kiss you" but it might as well. Hatt baby! [Destroy]
  • The scene - can't play it (no worky on NT), but alleged to be very good for the 64k entry [Details]
  • Midway down - Lewt warz [Details]
  • CD key crack [Details]
  • Useful little page for finding colour values [Details]
  • When is a wall not a wall? Dungeon master, a classic old game, proves that java may have some value to it after all, since people use it to remake the classics [Download]
  • Ninja wisdom [Details]
  • Tyrian. A 2d vertical scrolling shoot em up that won't run on my machine any more [Details]
  • Go Rin No Sho. Book of the five rings [Details]

I'm aware it sucks, but am also too lazy.
Note that now you've changed all the colours, it could be about anything!
BTW - this site looks fine in IE5 and netscape4. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find it, maybe you can use - Netscape 2.
